Early birthday present for superboot James Naka

Solomon Island import James Naka has promised to net more goals for Rewa in this weekend's Courts Inter District Championships in Suva.

The nippy striker made the comment after he slotted the winning goal for Rewa in their 1-0 victory over Ba at the TFL Stadium this afternoon.

“I want to help Rewa win the IDC again,” Naka said.

Naka who turns 26 tomorrow, says it will be a perfect birthday gift for him.

“I feel happy for scoring the winning goal for Rewa. It was a good game. The rain and the condition of the field were not good.

“I was expecting to score the goal judging by the flow of the ball. I already read where the ball will stop than rammed it with a right kick into the goal.

“Yes, there are many more goals to come.”

Naka who also collected a yellow card in the match says he will need to slow down a bit.

“I think it was the excitement. When I got my yellow card I just decided to slow down. In fact I don’t want to miss any game. I would not be able to win goals for Rewa sitting on the sideline.”

Rewa plays Lautoka tomorrow at 7pm.
